16 Wirral Council invoices for alcohol, advertising, agency staff, an atmospheric steamer and more!

16 Wirral Council invoices for alcohol, advertising, agency staff, an atmospheric steamer and more!

Continuing from yesterday’s invoices I’ve scanned in another batch the invoices I requested during the 2014/15 audit. These are for agency staff, catering, one from Trinity Mirror for advertising, coffee for vending machines, catering supplies for the Oaklands Centre (a residential outdoor education centre in Snowdonia run by Wirral Council) and four invoices for the bar at the Floral Pavilion.

I’m not creating thumbnails for each image and linking it to the hi-res version (even though I realise that’s better for page loading times). The invoices below are just the originals I’ve scanned in. If any of the text is too hard to read try clicking on the images to view it larger than the 500 pixel width this blog displays. The text on the Autobar and Birchall Foodservice invoices can be hard to read as they were supplied in A5 rather than A4 format.

I’ll briefly state here what they’re for and the amounts (the number in the top right refers to the numbering system on the spreadsheet of invoice numbers I sent to Wirral Council). So this is in the format invoice number, amount, reason. I’ve made bold the supplier name.

  1. As always, we appreciate the transparency

    • Thanks for your kind comment.

  2. G’day John

Who writes this crud for the local rubbish propaganda sheet I do hope it is not what they are overpaying Fartin Lobsterpot for.

Hasn’t anyone read Grant Thornton or DCLG on Wirral “Funny” Bizz?

    The new powers mean:

Cabinet councillors can appoint external consultants up to the value of £50,000.

They can authorise tenders for contracts relating to their “portfolio” up to the value of £5m.

They will be permitted to sanction disposal of surplus land, buildings and other assets up to the value of £2.5m.

They can give the go-ahead to purchase or lease land, buildings and “other assets” to a value of £1.25m.

John it is like they are trying to justify all the things they have done wrong before for people like Wirral “Funny” Bizz.

Portugal will be overflowing with pomme thieves like Wirral “Funny” Bizz in no time but not in hiding and with the blessing of “The Kitchen Cabinet”.

It is like Dreamworld were they will be able to show their kids and grandkids that all the dodgy dealings they have been doing are now allowed and we were just twenty years ahead of the real world and are geniuses like John “Tarrantino” Brace and Nigel “Highbrow” Hobro.

This is like what that numbskull of a little welsh leprechaun would write after a night on the cheap cider at his funny little club proving what a hopeless, hapless and deluded person (historian) he is.

    Ooroo

    James

    • The article is based on this Cabinet report to be considered this evening.

Here is a link to a page with links to the six appendices in the report here.

It used to be the case that this sort of thing had to be a recommendation to Council (as it was a change to Wirral Council’s constitution). However the procedure for changing the constitution has been changed to make these sorts of changes happen quicker than before.

Some of the changes start on the 6th November 2015.

  3. […] factoring refers to the practice where smaller companies sell invoices in order to receive money today. IN this case they do not have to wait for a credit period of 30, […]
