Who is on the Joint Health Scrutiny Committee to discuss the consultation over the closure of Walk-In Centres and what will be discussed at its public meeting tonight?

On Monday 1st July 2019 starting at 6.00 pm in the Council Chamber (1st floor) at Wallasey Town Hall, Brighton Street, Seacombe, CH44 8ED the Wirral & Cheshire West and Chester Joint Scrutiny Committee meets for its second public meeting to consider the consultation (which ran from 12th September 2018 to the 20th December 2018) on the closures of walk in centres. This public meeting was originally supposed to happen in February 2019, was then rearranged to June 2019 (that public meeting was then cancelled) and finally rearranged to the 1st July 2019.
Councillors Yvonne Nolan (Labour), Tony Norbury (Labour) and Mary Jordan (Conservative) are the 3 Wirral Council councillors on it. Councillors Kate Cernik (Labour), Michael Edwardson (Labour) and Lynn Riley (Conservative) are the 3 Chester West and Chester councillors on it.
This public meeting will be webcast by Wirral Council as they don’t film or webcast public meetings of joint health scrutiny committees.

Wirral and Chester West and Chester Joint Health Scrutiny Committee 11th December 2018
The reports about the consultation can be read on Wirral Council’s website and the Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group and Joint Strategic Commissioning Board are expected to make decisions on Tuesday 9th July 2019 about the future of the walk in centres.
The two walk in centres at Gladstone (former Parkfield) Minor Injury and Illness Unit in New Ferry and the Moreton Minor Injury & Illness Unit at Moreton Health Clinic in Moreton are both recommended to be closed for adult patients.
Changes to opening hours are also proposed for the Urgent Treatment Centre at Arrowe Park Hospital (increase of 10 hours a day), the Birkenhead Medical Centre (increase of 2 hours a day), the walk in centre at Victoria Central Hospital in Wallasey (decrease of 2 hours a day).
There are no changes in opening hours proposed for the Walk In Centre at the Eastham Clinic.
If the changes are agreed they will be implemented later this year.
The expected redesign of services is predicted to cost £412,891.
Since the consultation last year a number of bus services to the Walk In Centres have been axed. Some routes ended when Avon Buses Ltd went into liquidation in November 2018, but there have been changes by other bus companies too.
