First coronavirus cases confirmed in York, UK Cabinet meets in Sunderland and Prime Minister expected to make televised adddress to nation later
As I write this (around noon on Friday) as far as I know the delayed flight to RAF Brize Norton is still en route (people on it will sent by coach to be quarantined in the staff accommodation at Arrowe Park Hospital (part of the Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust).

What did the public ask the 4 MPs on the House of Commons Transport Committee in Liverpool yesterday?
The House of Commons Transport Committee visited Liverpool yesterday to hear a formal evidence session from witnesses from Merseytravel, Arriva and Stagecoach. Unfortunately their link video recording link didn’t work and their session is only at the time of publication available in audio which can be listened to here. Although I was present for part of that, I’m not permitted to film it although it was interesting to see how scrutiny by Members of Parliament is different to scrutiny by councillors.
However I did film the later public question and answer session which was well attended by the public and raised a whole range of very interesting transport issues.

What was the Prime Minister’s answer to criticisms of the government response to the New Ferry disaster?
Earlier today (5th December 2018) in the House of Commons, the Prime Minister was asked a question about the response to the New Ferry disaster from Wirral South MP Alison McGovern. Should Frank Field have declared £2,000 USDAW donation to his 2017 General Election campaign in the Register of Members’ Financial Interests?
In 2017 USDAW made a £2,000 donation to the Birkenhead Constituency Labour Party for Frank Field’s election campaign on the 26th April 2017.
