Here are the general election results declared early on the 13th December 2019 for the four constituencies on the Wirral in alphabetical order by constituency.

Birkenhead

Mick Whitley was elected as the Labour Member of Parliament for Birkenhead with 24,990 votes. Frank Field (Birkenhead Social Justice Party) came second with 7,285 votes. Third was Claire Michelle Rowles (Conservative) with 5,540 votes.

After seven complaints had been made by members of the public (although only one of those seven Mr Paul Cardin was present for the Standards Panel) about a tweet that Cllr David Burgess-Joyce made in July 2019, councillors on Wirral Council’s Standards Panel met on 4th December 2019 to decide whether there had been a breach of the Code of Conduct.
